Quantitative SARS-COV-2 Antibodies

The test is designed for the Quantitative detection of specific IgG-class antibodies to the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2) in human blood. It is a serological test with quantitative laboratory analysis aimed at identifying the specific IgG antibodies for Coronavirus. The test allows us to measure the immune response and therefore the potential immunization to Covid-19, with a sensitivity of 98.02% and a specificity of 99.94%.

The test is intended to:

  • Determine antibody levels before and after a COVID-19 vaccination
  • Monitor antibody levels during and after a COVID-19 disease
  • Aid in the diagnosis of patients suspected of having COVID-19 disease or asymptomatic infection with SARS-CoV-2

Quantitative vs Qualitative antibody tests (the benefits of COVID-19 Quantitative antibody testing

  • The difference between qualitative and quantitative testing is what the results tell you. A Qualitative test shows whether or not you have COVID-19 antibodies in your system. A Quantitative test shows how many COVID-19 antibodies are present in your system.
  • Antibody protection exists on a range which is what makes testing so useful: some people have strong immune systems and will retain high antibody levels for a longer period. Others may not have the same level of protective benefits from antibodies.
  • The Quantitative antibody test determines how much of these antibodies your body has produced. Quantitative antibody tests adhere to an international standard that ensure results are accurate. Therefore, if you are looking to figure out how much protection you have, a Quantitative antibody test is a viable choice.
The BioArte i-flask-64
Sample: Whole blood
The BioArte i-euro-64
Price: 50 Euros
The BioArte i-time-64
Timing for test results: 3 Working days after samples have been delivered to our diagnostic lab.
The BioArte i-report-64
Results: After the sample is taken at the clinic, your specimen will be analyzed with the GSD NovaLisa® SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) quantitative IgG ELISA test in our laboratory.

The report will show the values in antibody units per ml (AU/ml) and in International Units (IU/mL)

< 9 AU/mL No significant level of antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 in patient sample.
9 – 11 AU/mL Initial evidence for detection of antibodies to SARS-CoV-2. Additional testing is recommended.
> 11 AU/mL Antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 presumptively detected in patient sample. Contact with the antigen (pathogen resp. vaccine) can be assumed.
